New Music Coming Up – Greetings From The Studio! A few impressions from the Dark Ride Brothers Studio Session 2019
We are delighted to let you know that brand new Dark Ride Brothers songs are cooking up. We've been working our asses off with our producer primus inter pares Teemu Aalto at Teemu Aalto Music Productions HQ in Karhula, Finland. This meant a lot of early mornings, late evenings and dark rides across snowy landscapes – the studio is a two-hour drive away from here – but, once again, it was definitely worth it!
This time our studio session was a bit different compared to our previous sessions. We started laying down the tracks with acoustic guitars and lead vocals. After that it was Jari's turn to build up the bass foundation and boy, he did a great job. We've got beautifully rolling bass lines this time and they nicely support the songs and melodies.
Then it was time for Niko and Sami to record their parts, and at this point the songs started to take their final form. The last one to visit the studio this time was Joni, so you can actually say we climbed the studio tree backwards and upside down this time.
Production-wise our very own "Mutt Lange" Teemu has done miracles during this project and it has been a warm and effective session with him.
So what are the Dark Ride Songs like this time? Upbeat, melodic, positive, hard rocking and very easy to sing along!
"Caught in your game" had been hiding in Vesa’s drawer for a long time and it was only a month before the studio time that Sven encouraged Vesa to play it out loud. It became immediately obvious that this song would really rock both live and at the studio!
"Bite The Silence" is a mid-tempo AOR rocker with bits and pieces of a classic ballad to it. Niko and Sami really make the song rise on its wings with their harmonica and thunderous guitars.
"Days Of Glory", on the other hand, is an anthem to good times: no arguing, no fighting but keeping up the good fight in all of us. This song has a genuine country rock vibe to it and also contains some banjo!
The first song will be released in early twenty-twenty on all digital platforms as usual!
We are really excited to play these songs to you. Here are some sneak peeks into the upcoming material. Watch out, it's still raw!

The band behind the melody is Dark Ride Brothers with their refreshingly different sound – the band that stands for rousing fireworks of rock/pop music equipped with an extra load of country, and one that takes their audiences on adventurous road trips every time the Dark Ride Brothers show begins. Their music creates a sense of togetherness that cannot be put into words, which is why their fans perceive themselves as part of a big Dark Ride Family. An ever-growing number of music enthusiasts are discovering the crazy guys from the North and their barnstorming songs.
The Dark Ride Brothers are a Finnish-German band founded in 2014 by Sven Langbein and Vesa Winberg. Their common journey started with two acoustic guitars, and it has been full steam ahead ever since. By now, the band has played numerous gigs on a broad variety of stages in Finland and abroad, from tiny bars to major events and festivals. With every concert, the Dark Ride Family grows bigger, and on social media the band is constantly engaging with their fan base and entertaining thousands of Dark Riders around the globe with their updates every day.
The Dark Ride Brothers have been garnering hundreds of thousands of plays on streaming services such as Spotify. In April 2019, their eagerly anticipated debut album “Join The Ride” was released, and two songs from the album directly found their way into the program of nationwide radio YLE Radio Suomi.
In summer of 2019 the band played 13 concerts on a two-week tour through Germany and visited Italy for a festival gig at Lake Garda.

Nelli valmistautuu parhaillaan Miss Hot Rod -finaaliin (MUISTAKAA ÄÄNESTÄÄ!), joka järjestetään American Car Show'n yhteydessä 19.-21. huhtikuuta Helsingin messukeskuksessa. Loppusuoran kiireistä huolimatta karismaattinen missiehdokas raivasi meille heti tilaa kalenteriinsa, kun kysyimme häneltä haastattelua. Ennen tapaamista Nelli oli yksi meidän some-seuraajista. Lyhyenkin keskustelun aikana hän kuitenkin onnistui valloittamaan meidän sydämet ihan 6-0 positiivisella ja inspiroivalla persoonallaan. Vastaukset ovat kuin avoin ikkuna upean ja ahkeran nuoren naisen sieluelämään.

About "Join The Ride":
“Join The Ride” comprises of ten Dark Ride Brothers songs and was produced by Teemu Aalto, well-known in the music industry as the producer of Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum. The album was mastered by Svante Forsbäck, who has been finalizing the Dark Ride Sound from the very beginning.
Every track on the album has its very own character. What all of them have in common is a great deal of catchiness and love for the detail.
“When it comes to releasing our tracks, we set the bar extremely high, giving each song the time that it needs,” says Vesa Winberg, songwriter of the Dark Ride Brothers.
“Safe And Sound”, the first track on the album, has a slight touch of Irish folk, while the following song “Supernatural” might please fans of Brad Paisley. Also included in the album is DRB’s Spotify hit “Jetplane”. “Burden,” a song musically inspired by Toto, is a real gem to crown the album.
“Join The Ride” was produced in several studio sessions at Teemu Aalto Music Productions, and one of the guest musicians on the album is Finnish singer Janita Tiussa.
In the concert summer of 2019, Dark Ride Brothers will be performing in Finland and go on a two-week tour to Germany. Last but not least, there will be a festival appearance in Italy.
“Join The Ride” is available on all major streaming services. Additionally, the album can be ordered in three different versions in the Dark Ride Brothers CD Shop.

With their rousing show full of energy, they engulfed the audience right from the start and did not let it go until the last note was played.
