A video posted during the Dark Ride Brothers Reloaded Tour through Germany and Switzerland is spreading like wildfire online. The DRB version of the legendary track “Apache” by The Shadows, recorded after a rehearsal session in the courtyard of their hotel, has reached more than 100,000 people on Facebook in a short amount of time.

“It was an entirely spontaneous idea. Before the show later that day, we were rehearsing in a park in the courtyard of the hotel, and because the sound felt so good, we decided to record the version of Apache that we had just played together for the first time. When we saw and heard the result, we thought that maybe we should share this with our Dark Ride Family”, says singer-guitarist Vesa Winberg.

The video quickly garnered thousands of likes, comments and shares, and a lot of people took notice of the band and visited their concerts having seen the clip on Facebook.

“A year ago we saw Pekka Tiilikainen & Beatmakers live in Hämeenlinna and they played Apache. This version is our tribute to them and of course to the original version by The Shadows”, says Sven Langbein, the band’s co-founder.

Dark Ride Brothers toured Germany and Switzerland for two weeks and played shows in, among others, Berlin, Braunschweig, Hamburg and Salzgitter, where they were the main act of this year’s Altstadt Festival.

“The tour has been a complete success and was very well received. We’ll be back”, Langbein says.

In addition to Finland, Germany and Switzerland, Dark Ride Brothers also played their first show in Italy this year.
